Swedish Deviant Musical Art gained its Darkest Heavy form with this "God
to the Illfated" the second release of Devian. Once you listen to it
this piece of Art you witness that Devian has became not only Heavier
and Darker but also allot more Uniform Sounding.
Still Devian make it hard for anyone to define their sound since their
unleashed and unbound talent doesn’t tie them to any Metal Genre, they
explore Death, Black, Thrash and Heavy Metal to it's limits, recreating
this Arts and bounding all this genres into an outstanding well defined
own Identity and Sound.
Without a doubt "God to the Illfated" is a big step forwards into Devian
promising career, its production is another brilliant highlight result
of Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy, Immortal, Dimmu Borgir,etc..) Genius and
Wisdom.
On "God to the Illfated" Devian band members have stretched their skills
to the limits in order to create some of the best Metal Beast to meet
the light these days. Legion has done here some of his best vocals and
wrathful mind liberating lyrics ever in his long career, proving that
aging is wisdom. Emil proves once again that not only with blast beats
you can do Extreme Quality Metal. Tomas and Joinus, well... they form an
outstanding dynamic guitar duo comparable only to Colossus like Murray &
Smith (Maiden) or Downing and Tipton (Priest) on Extreme Metal, creating
solos and leads that tie your ears to the stereo and force you to repeat
this songs on and on.
"God to the Illfated" is a quality uniform Extreme Metal release where
you can't find one bad song into, yet some highlights should be
mentioned.
Spit right back from the Mouth from Hell "Mask of Virtue" couldn't be a
better track to ignite this new Devian unleashed Inferno, quickly
followed by two outrageous tunes "Assailant" and "The Unspoken", two
songs with incredible guitar lines making you sure that Devian master
the art of blending Classic Melody with Darkest Sounding Blasphemies.
"I'm the Pariah" (counting with the screams of Peter Tägtgren),“South of
Halo" and ”Reap the Storm" (Bonus Track) are describing perfectly this
amazing new solidified sound of Devian. Proof of this melodic genius are
delightful solos like the one in "Awaiting Doom" reminding solo Wizards
like Marty Friedman (ex-Megadeth).
With "God to the Illfated" title track, Devian show a total Thrashed
Metal face, a Bloodthirsty classic. If all this wasn't enough then just
witness the majesty of "When the Vultures" Epic Extreme Metal Colossus,
an absolute new approach for Devian that fits perfectly on their
creative own sound, ignited with a delightful keyboard melody and
unleashed with a Devilish Yell from Wraith Spawn from Hell, this song is
a true Immortal delight for the tortured ears, in no better way Devian
could end this Epic Blasphemy.
In All "God to the Illfated" reveals a Darker and Heavier approach to
all Devian done before. With the bright use of Keyboards, clean vocals
and deeper Melodic Metal Grove Devian have been taken completely to a
new Level! If "Ninewinged Serpent" might have sound like a collage of
smashing tunes, now you can see line between the tracks proving that
Devian sound has been defined into something allot more uniform and
majestic.

El Perverso Arte Musical Sueco ha tomado la forma de un Darkest Heavy
con este disco; "God to the Illfated" que es el segundo lanzamiento de
Devian. Una vez que escuches esta pieza de Arte, seras testigo de que
Devian se ha tornado no solo mas Pesado y Oscuro, si no tambien con un
Sonido mas Uniforme.
Sin embargo Devian hace que su sonido no pueda ser definido por alguien,
ya que su independiente y liberal talento no los ata a cualquier Genero
del Metal, ellos exploran el Death, Black, Thrash y Heavy Metal hasta
sus limites, recreando este Arte y saltando todos estos generos dentro
de una pendiente bien definida, Identidad propia y Sonido.
Sin duda "God to the Illfated" es un gran paso adelante dentro de la
prometedora carrera de Devian, su produccion es otro brillante y
destacado resultado de Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy, Immortal, Dimmu
Borgir,etc..) Genio y Sabio.
En "God to the Illfated" los miembros de Devian han ampliado sus
habilidades hasta el limite con el fin de crear la mejor Metal Beast que
vio la luz en estos dias. Legion ha hecho aqui uno de sus mejores
trabajos vocales y la mejor lirica que se libero de su colerica mente a
lo largo de su carrera, demostrando que el paso del tiempo te vuelve mas
sabio. Emil demuestra una vez mas que no solamente con golpes explosivos
puedes hacer Metal de Calidad Extrema. Tomas y Joinus, bueno... ellos
forman un excelente y dinamico duo en la guitarra, comparados solamente
con Colosos como Murray y Smith (Maiden) o Downing y Tipton (Priest) en
Extreme Metal, creando solos y leads que llevan tus orejas hasta el
stereo y te obligan a repetir las canciones una y otra vez.
"God to the Illfated" es un lanzamiento de Extreme Metal de una calidad
uniforme donde no te puedes encontrar una mala cancion, aunque algunas
rolas destacadas deben ser mencionadas.
Escupida directamente de la Boca del Infierno "Mask of Virtue" no puede
ser un mejor track para encender este nuevo Infierno de Devian,
velozmente seguido de dos injuriosas melodias "Assailant" y "The
Unspoken", dos canciones con increibles lineas de guitarra, haciendote
asegurar de que Devian son los maestros del arte de la mezcla de Melodia
Clasica y Blasfemias de Oscuro Sonido.
"I'm the Pariah" (contando con los gritos de Peter Tägtgren),“South of
Halo" y ”Reap the Storm" (Bonus Track) describen perfectamente este
solido y sorprendente nuevo sonido de Devian. Una prueba de este genio
melodico son los deliciosos solos como el de "Awaiting Doom" recordando
a los Magos de los solos como Marty Friedman (ex-Megadeth).
Con "God to the Illfated", el track del titulo, Devian muestra una
completa cara de Thrash Metal, un Sangriento clasico. Si todo esto no es
suficiente, entonces solo se testigo de la majestuosidad de "When the
Vultures" un Coloso Epico del Metal Extremo, un nuevo enfoque absoluto
de Devian que encaja perfectamente en su propio y creativo sonido,
encendido con una deliciosa melodia de teclado y liberado con un Grito
Infernal desde las Entrañas del Infierno, esta cancion es una verdadera
delicia Inmortal para torturar los oidos, no hay una mejor forma para
que Devian termine esta Blasfemia Epica.
En Todo el "God to the Illfated" se revela un Oscuro y Pesado
acercamiento a todo lo que Devian hizo antes. Con el brillante uso de
Teclados, voces limpias y profundas Enramadas de Metal Melodico, Devian
ha sido llevado a un nuevo y completo Nivel! Si "Ninewinged Serpent"
podria tener un collage de sorprendentes sonidos, ahora puedes ver la
linea entre los tracks que demuestran que el sonido de Devian ha sido
definido dentro de algo mucho mas uniforme y majestuoso.
Esta (dis)Armonia del Metal combina los Mejores Elementos del Death,
Black, Thrash y Heavy Metal haciendo que este album se transforme en una
experiencia que ningun MetalHead debe perderse sin importar sus gustos o
limites en el Metal.
